Data source: save widget entries to My Data
Meditation Log, Habit Heatmap and Daily Fan Check-in can save entries to your own data table — kept across widgets and devices, and easy to view, edit and export.
Some widgets keep records: check-ins, meditation minutes, daily sign-ins. These used to live inside the widget. Now you can save them to My Data instead — your own data tables in your account.
Which widgets support it
Widgets that offer a data source in the editor today:
- Meditation Log: minutes per session, with a heatmap and streaks.
- Habit Heatmap: daily check-ins.
- Daily Fan Check-in: daily check-ins, with streaks and fan level calculated from the table.
More widgets will follow. If a widget's editor shows Where data is saved, it supports My Data.
How to connect
- Open the widget in the editor, find Where data is saved and choose My Data. (You'll need to be signed in.)
- Click a button like Create “Meditation Log” and connect to create a table with the fields the widget needs and connect it. Or choose a table with matching fields under Or connect an existing table.
- That's it. Entries you make on the widget — for example, checking in from Notion — go straight into the table.
The connection panel also shows your usage: tables, writes today and connected widgets. Click Open in My Data to see the table.
Entries already saved in the widget
After you connect, the widget shows the entries in the table. Days already saved inside the widget aren't moved over, but they aren't deleted either: disconnect and they come back.
Disconnecting
Click Disconnect in the editor's data source panel. Then:
- the widget goes back to saving data the old way;
- the write key for this widget stops working immediately;
- the table and its entries stay in My Data, where you can view and export them.
Is it safe?
- The widget gets a write-only key: it can add entries to that table, but can't read the details, edit or delete anything.
- Each widget gets its own key. Disconnecting or switching tables turns the old one off, and it never affects the table's check-in link.
- The widget only shows daily totals (counts, sums, streaks) — notes you write aren't shown publicly.
Limits
Writes are counted per account, whether they come from the web, a widget or a check-in link. Free accounts get 20 writes a day (15 per table) and can connect up to 3 widgets; see My Data: free and Pro limits. When you run out, the widget says so, and writes reset at 00:00 (UTC+8).
