WidgetStore - Widgets, animated icons, dashboards and personal pages for Notion

Subscribe to Google, iCloud and Outlook calendars in WidgetStore

Paste a Google, iCloud, Outlook or any ICS link to see your events in Focus, your start page, widgets and the browser extension. Read-only and encrypted.

Once you subscribe to a calendar, events from Google, iCloud, Outlook and other calendars show up across WidgetStore: today's agenda next to your to-dos in Focus, an Agenda tile on your start page, Today's Agenda and Month Calendar widgets you can embed in Notion, the next event in the browser extension popup, and your connected AI assistant.

It's a read-only subscription: WidgetStore only reads your calendar. It never creates, changes or deletes events, and you can't use it to sign in.

Add a calendar

  1. Sign in and open Settings → Connections, then scroll to Calendar subscriptions.
  2. Paste the calendar link (starting with https:// or webcal://) and click Check.
  3. You'll see the calendar's name, how many events it has and the next few, so you can confirm it's the right one. Rename it or pick a color if you like.
  4. Click Add.

Free plans can subscribe to 3 calendar links, Pro to 20. The public calendars below (holidays, solar terms) don't count toward this.

“Where to find your calendar link” in the settings card has the steps and the official page for each provider.

Add a public calendar in one tap

Add in one tap suggests calendars for your content region:

  • Mainland China: public holidays with make-up workdays, Chinese lunar festivals and solar terms
  • Taiwan: public holidays; Hong Kong: public holidays; Japan: national holidays
  • United States: federal holidays (with observed days); United Kingdom: bank holidays in England and Wales

They come from official government schedules or calendars (the source is shown under each one), and holiday names follow your interface language.

Manage your calendars

Each calendar has a few buttons:

  • Show in public widgets (globe): adds this calendar to your Today's Agenda and Month Calendar widgets. Calendars you subscribed to are off by default; public calendars are on.
  • Show / hide (eye): a hidden calendar stays subscribed but doesn't show in Focus or on your start page.
  • Refresh: reload it now. Calendars update automatically about every 20 minutes; manual refreshes are limited to 10 a day on Free and 50 on Pro.
  • Remove: unsubscribes only; the original calendar isn't touched.

Click a name to rename it, or the color dot to change its color. If a calendar can't be read, the reason appears under its name (for example “Not allowed to read this calendar (the link may have been reset or made private)”).

Where your events show up

  • Focus: the To-dos panel in Focus has Agenda · Today. What's happening now is marked Now, and anything starting within an hour shows “in N min”. Click ▶ next to an event to start a countdown for the rest of that block; the focus log uses the event title.
  • Start page: in your start page, go to Add → Cards and add Agenda. Switch between Agenda and Month. It's personal, so it doesn't appear when you share your start page publicly.
  • Widgets: Today's Agenda and Month Calendar in the widget library (Productivity and Calendar) can be embedded in Notion or your page.
  • Browser extension: the popup shows your next event under Up next; click ⏱ to start focusing with its title.
  • AI assistants: Claude, ChatGPT and others connected through MCP can read events in a date range with list_calendar_events (read-only).

Privacy in public widgets

Widgets live in public places like Notion and your page, so the defaults are cautious:

  • Only calendars with Show in public widgets turned on appear.
  • Calendars you subscribed to show only busy blocks, without titles.
  • To show titles, two switches must both be on: Show event titles in public widgets in Settings, and Show titles in the widget.
  • Locations, meeting links and calendar addresses never appear in public widgets.

Public calendars such as holidays and solar terms are public data, so their names always show.

FAQ

How quickly do changes in Google Calendar show up? Within about 20 minutes, or click Refresh. Google and Outlook also take a while to update their own feeds.

It says the link doesn't open a calendar. You probably copied a web page or share page. Copy the iCal / ICS link from the table above.

It says only https links are supported. For security we only fetch https. webcal:// links are switched to https automatically.

Some repeating events are missing. Daily, weekly, monthly and yearly repeats are supported, including rules like “last Friday of the month”, exceptions and edited occurrences. A few rare rules (by week number or day of the year) only show the first occurrence; the check tells you when that happens.

Can I create or edit events here? Not in this version. Connecting a Google or Outlook account directly, with write access, may come later.
