Focus space: Pomodoro timer, ambient sounds, to-dos and time
How to use the focus space: four timer modes, layered ambient sounds, live backdrops and music, prioritized to-dos, one-tap time tracking and shortcuts.
The focus space is a calm, full-screen page that helps you settle in, keep today’s list in order and see where your time goes. Open /focus and click Start focusing — no account needed. Without signing in, everything is saved on this device; when you sign in, it is merged into your account and synced to My Data.
Three views
Switch at the top:
- Home: a big clock, a greeting for the time of day, a daily quote (motivation, self-care or gratitude — choose in Settings) and your next to-do.
- Focus: just the timer and what you’re working on.
- Break: a slow breathing circle and how much break time is left.
Turn on “switch to the Break view during breaks” in Settings and the Pomodoro timer will take you there automatically.
Timer
Four modes, all with your own lengths:
| Mode | Good for |
|---|---|
| Pomodoro | 25 min focus + 5 min short break, with a 15 min long break every 4 rounds (all adjustable) |
| Countdown | A fixed length with an alert at the end |
| Stopwatch | No end time; click Finish and log when you’re done |
| Animedoro | 40 min focus + 20 min break (time for an episode) |
Every completed session is logged (length, mode, linked to-do and activity) and shows up in Stats by day, week and month. An alert sound plays at the end (8 to choose from, all generated in your browser), and you can turn on desktop notifications.
Sounds and music
- Ambient sounds: rain, thunder, café, campfire, wind, waves, stream, forest, summer night, train, keyboard, plus white, pink and brown noise — 14 sounds you can layer, each with its own volume, plus presets like “Rainy café” and “Mountain cabin”. Free mixes 3 at once, Pro 8. Every sound is generated live in your browser, so there’s nothing to download.
- Music: paste a YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music or NetEase Cloud Music song or playlist link and it plays inside the focus space (through each platform’s official player).
Backdrops
- Live scenes such as aurora, starry sky, rainy night and sunset (Free 4, Pro all 8), drawn live with Canvas.
- Daily photos and landscapes from the wallpaper library, gradients and solid colors.
- Pro: upload your own image or use a YouTube video as the backdrop.
To-dos
- Just type, for example “Weekly report 30m !1 tomorrow”:
30m/1his the time estimate,!1–!4the priority, and “today / tomorrow / fri” or a date the due date. - The list is sorted by priority and due date, so your next task is always on top. Click Focus to start a Pomodoro linked to it.
- Today at a glance puts today’s to-dos, time blocks and focus time together.
- Plan my day turns your estimates and work hours into time blocks. The rule-based plan is free; the AI plan uses Sparks.
Time tracking
Give activities like work, study or exercise an emoji and a color (Free 8, Pro 40). Tap one to start tracking and tap another to switch — a timeline of your day builds itself. You can add or edit entries afterwards.
Picture-in-picture, clear mode and full screen
- Picture-in-picture: pop the timer into a small floating window above your other apps (best in Chrome and Edge; other browsers fall back to video picture-in-picture or a mini window).
- Clear mode: only the backdrop (and optionally the timer) stays. Click anywhere or press Esc to exit.
- When the mouse is idle for a while, the interface fades out.
