Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor to WidgetStore. Update your page status, create countdown widgets, add sites to your start page and log to-dos and habits in one sentence. Official MCP server and open API with OAuth, scoped access and undo.
Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor to your account and just say “set my status to on vacation” or “add a countdown to my exam”. It's done, and the widgets embedded in your Notion update too.
MCP URL: https://widgetstore.net/mcp
What your AI can do
16 tools across widgets, your personal page, start pages, focus and My Data. Your AI checks what you have before changing anything.
Update your status: One sentence updates your page's Now card and every status widget.
Create and edit widgets: Finds the right one among 140 widgets, fills in the settings, and gives you an embed link and preview.
Countdowns: Exams, trips, birthdays. Just say the date.
Start page links: Adds sites to your browser start page, icons included.
Personal page cards: Adds link, text and heading cards. Public text is checked for safety first.
To-dos, habits, focus: Adds to-dos, checks in habits and logs focus time, synced with Focus.
My Data: Adds and queries records in your tables; chart widgets update on their own.
Undo anything: Wrong change? Ask your AI to undo it, or undo it in Settings.
Connect in two minutes
Works with any MCP-compatible app. The first time, a WidgetStore sign-in page opens: sign in, click Allow, done. No passwords or keys to copy.
Claude
In claude.ai or the Claude desktop app, open Settings → Connectors and click “Add custom connector”.
Name it WidgetStore, paste https://widgetstore.net/mcp as the URL, and click Add.
Click Connect, sign in on the page that opens and allow access. Then just ask in any chat.
Claude Code
Run this command in your terminal.
In Claude Code, type /mcp, pick widgetstore and sign in and allow in your browser.
Done. Try “set my status to coding”.
ChatGPT
In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode (on plans that support custom connectors).
Click Create, name it WidgetStore, enter https://widgetstore.net/mcp as the MCP server URL and choose OAuth.
Sign in to WidgetStore when asked and allow access, then pick it in a chat.
Cursor
Open ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or .cursor/mcp.json in a project) and add the snippet below.
In Cursor Settings → MCP, click Login next to widgetstore.
Sign in and allow in your browser, then head back to Cursor.
You stay in control
Your AI is changing your stuff, so every step is approved by you, visible, and reversible.
Sign-in consent: Standard OAuth 2.1. AI apps never see your password, and access tokens expire after an hour.
Choose what it can do: Read-only, status, widgets, page, start pages, focus and My Data are separate permissions.
Every change is logged: Who, when, what changed and what it was before. Undo with one click for 7 days.
Sensible limits: Free: 100 calls and 30 changes a day. Pro: 300 and 100.
Disconnect anytime: Disconnect an app or revoke a token in Settings → API & AI connections. It takes effect immediately.
No deleting: Your AI can create and edit, but can't delete your widgets or data, and can't touch your account or payments.
For developers: personal tokens and a REST API
Create a personal API token (starts with wsp_) in Settings and use it in scripts, Shortcuts, or tools that can't sign in. Everything MCP can do, the REST API can too, with consistent JSON and error codes.
No. The free plan includes 100 calls and 30 changes a day, which is plenty for everyday use. Pro raises that to 300 and 100 and lets you connect more apps. The AI apps themselves (Claude, ChatGPT) follow their own plans.
What is MCP?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI apps use outside tools safely. Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and many others support it, so once connected your AI can work in your WidgetStore directly.
Can my AI delete my stuff?
No. There are no delete tools: your AI can only create and edit, every change records what it was before, and you can undo for 7 days. Account settings and payments are off-limits.
Will my data be used to train models?
WidgetStore never hands your data to anyone for model training. What your AI reads becomes part of your chat with that AI app and is handled under that app's own privacy policy. See our privacy policy for details.
Personal token or sign-in: which should I use?
Apps that support sign-in (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) should use the MCP URL. It's the simplest and safest. For scripts, Shortcuts or tools that can't sign in, put a personal API token in the Authorization header.
Can I talk to it in other languages?
Yes. Use whatever language you like. Default widget text follows your language, and your own status and titles are saved exactly as written, never translated.
