Connections: Todoist, Linear, GitHub and calendars in one place
See every connected app at a glance in Settings → Connections, and decide per app whether in-app AI (weekly review, day planning) may read it.
Settings → Connections (formerly "Connected accounts") brings together everything you've connected to WidgetStore: tasks (Todoist, Linear), calendar subscriptions, code (GitHub), notes and data (Notion), plus sign-in methods (Google). Connections only read data and do what you explicitly ask. They can't be used to sign in (except Google and Notion, which are sign-in methods to begin with).
Everything at a glance
- Sign in, then open avatar menu → Settings → Connections.
- At the top, each app has a small card: whether it's connected, which account, and what it provides (tasks, activity, profile). If it says Reconnect needed, click the card to jump to that app's settings below and reconnect.
- Below, the detailed cards are grouped by kind: connect or disconnect, which tasks to show, task titles in public widgets, syncing to My Data, and so on, same as before.
In-app AI can read
Each connected card has an In-app AI can read switch at the bottom. It's on by default, and you can turn it off per app at any time:
- The AI weekly review includes how many Todoist / Linear tasks you finished this week and your GitHub contributions. Numbers only.
- AI day planning schedules your Todoist / Linear tasks due today or tomorrow into time blocks. This uses task titles.
- Only you see the results, and nothing is sent to third-party AI. When it's off, these two features stop reading that app; your tasks still show in Focus and on your start page.
Use it with Claude or ChatGPT
External AI doesn't use this switch. It reads and writes within the scopes you grant in Settings → API & AI connections (revocable any time; every write can be undone):
list_connections: which apps are connected (never tokens or keys).list_my_tasks/complete_task/add_task: read, check off and add Todoist / Linear tasks (checking off and adding need the "Todoist / Linear tasks" write scope).get_my_activity: your GitHub contributions per day.list_my_events: events from your subscribed calendars (same as the olderlist_calendar_events).read_resourceandrun_action: general reads and actions for data that has no dedicated tool yet.
The open API has matching endpoints: GET /v1/me/connectors, GET /v1/me/resources/Task, GET /v1/me/tasks, GET /v1/me/activity, GET /v1/me/events and more. Write scopes added later (for example, writing to calendars) are never added to an existing grant automatically. You'll be asked to authorize again.
FAQ
Where did "Connected accounts" go?
It's now Connections, at the same link. Every app's card and settings are still there.
Will public widgets show my task titles?
Not by default; they show counts only. Titles appear only when both are allowed: turn on "Show task titles in public widgets" in that app's settings, and choose "Show titles" in the widget.
