Create a widget with AI: describe it, and AI picks and sets it up

Describe a widget in one sentence: AI picks the best 1–3 from the library and fills in the settings, then you create it in one click. Tweaks, Sparks, and what you add yourself.

Not sure which widget to pick, or don't feel like filling in every setting? Just say what you want — "Track how much water I drink", "Days until my trip to Japan on Dec 3", "Show the weather in London" — and AI will:

  1. Pick a widget from the library (widgets, animated icons and backgrounds) — the best 1–3, labeled Best match, Good match or Alternative.
  2. Fill in the settings from your description — dates, titles, colors, cities, goals — and show a live preview.
  3. Tweak it as you go: "make it blue", "count down to Dec 25".
  4. Create it: click Create widget to get an embed link for Notion, or add it to My Page or a dashboard.

Where to find it

  • The box on the home page: type and press Enter, or choose "Create with AI" in the dropdown. The dropdown also lists matching widgets from the library — press ↓ to open one directly.
  • Describe it in one sentence at the top of the library.
  • Create with AI next to the title in My widgets.

The panel shows example descriptions you can try with one click.

Preview and suggestions

  • When there's more than one suggestion, switch between them at the top. The first one is filled in automatically; others show their sample settings until you click "Fill in with AI" (so you're not charged for widgets you don't look at).
  • "Why this one" shows the words from your description that match the widget; "AI set" says what was changed.
  • Widget previews are the real thing. Animated icons and backgrounds preview in their default style; your settings apply once the widget is created.

What you add yourself

AI won't make up things that belong to you:

  • Accounts, usernames, repositories and personal links (a GitHub username, an X handle…): used if you wrote them in your description; otherwise they're listed under "You'll need to add" for you to fill in in the editor.
  • Photos, avatars and book covers: upload your own in the editor.
  • Widgets that keep records (budget, run log, habit heatmap…): when creating, choose a new table, one of your tables, or "Not now". Entries are saved to your My Data; see Data source.

Sample content (such as a widget's default example titles) is marked as a sample, and you can change it any time.

How Sparks are used

  • Choosing a widget is free.
  • Filling in settings and tweaks use Sparks based on actual AI usage. The panel shows the estimate, what this request used and your balance.
  • Nothing is charged when AI doesn't succeed — if AI isn't responding, you're out of Sparks, or you've reached today's limit, the panel previews the widget with its sample settings plus the dates and colors from your description, and tells you why.
  • Each account has a daily limit on AI requests, which resets the next day. Get Sparks from the daily check-in, the Pro monthly gift or by buying them — see Sparks.

Can I use it without signing in?

Yes, to try it: you can pick widgets and see previews (settings are quickly filled from the sample plus the dates and colors you mention). Click "Sign in to create"; when you're back, your description is restored and AI fills in the settings properly.

FAQ

Can I change it later? Yes. Open it from My widgets in the editor — every setting can be changed and the embed link stays the same.

No widget fits? The panel lists the closest widgets, or browse the library by category. If there's a widget you'd like, tell us via Send feedback in the footer.

Can I create Pro widgets? You can pick and preview them; creating one needs Pro. Free account limits per widget type are on Pro.

What happens to my description? It's only used to pick a widget and fill in its settings. It's sent to an AI model for processing; we don't publish it or use it to train models.
