Focus space sync, widgets, the start page and limits

How focus data syncs to My Data, how to add the five focus widgets to Notion, focus mode on your start page, and the Free vs Pro limits.

Where your data lives

  • Signed out: everything is stored in this browser on this device. Switching devices or clearing browser data loses it.
  • Signed in: what you recorded on this device is merged into your account and synced to five system tables in My Data: focus sessions, time blocks, to-dos, habits and goals. Sign in on another device to see the same data.

These tables are read-only in My Data (edit them in the focus space), don’t count toward My Data’s table or entry limits, can be exported to JSON or CSV any time, and can be used in Notion Charts.

Sync is automatic: changes upload within a few minutes, and changes from other devices are pulled when you come back to the page. To keep costs in check there is a daily number of cloud syncs (Free 30, Pro 60). When you run out, data stays saved on this device and syncs the next day — nothing is lost.

Focus widgets for Notion

The widget library has five focus widgets. Connect the matching table under Data in the editor to show your real data (before that, they show a sample labeled “Sample”):

WidgetTableShows
Focus TimerFocus sessionsPomodoro / countdown / Animedoro; logs a session when you finish; today’s focus time and streak
Today’s Time BlocksTime blocksToday’s timeline, time per activity and the last 7 days
Focus HeatmapFocus sessionsA year-long heatmap plus today, this week, this month and all time
Habit GridHabitsRecent check-ins and streaks for each habit
Goal ProgressGoalsProgress for each goal this day, week or month

Copy the widget link, type /embed in Notion and paste it. Goal progress updates after you open the focus space and it syncs.

Focus mode on your start page

On your start page, click the timer icon on the left to open the focus space over your own wallpaper. Add → Cards also has focus timer, to-do and habit tiles that share the same data. These tiles are never included when you share your start page publicly.
