Meditation Log and Habit Heatmap can write straight into them.

Lots of people use WidgetStore widgets to keep a streak going: drinking water, meditating, learning words, checking in for their favorite idol. Until now, those entries lived inside each widget. Switch to another widget or start over with a new style, and the history stayed behind. Want to know how many days you kept it up this year? You'd have to dig through widgets one by one.

So we built My Data: a space for data tables that belong to you. Entries are no longer tied to a single widget. They live in tables in your account, and widgets are simply the way you log and look at them.

What you can do

Open My Data from the avatar menu, click New table and start from one of four templates:

Template

Records

Good for

Habit tracker ✅

By day

Daily habits like exercise, water or sleeping early

Counter 🔢

By day

How many times a day: Pomodoros, cups

Log 📓

By time

One entry per session: reading, meditation, practice

Blank table 📄

By day

Design your own fields

Every table comes with a heatmap, your current and longest streaks and stats for the past year. Add your own fields (number, text, checkbox, select, tags, link and more), and export to JSON or CSV whenever you like — CSV opens straight in Excel or Google Sheets.

The Help Center has the details: My Data: tables, entries, stats and export.

Widgets write straight into your tables

Meditation Log, Habit Heatmap and Daily Fan Check-in can now connect to a table. In the editor, set Where data is saved to My Data and click Create and connect. From then on, checking in from Notion writes straight to your table.

Entries stay with you across widgets and devices.

You can see every entry in My Data, and edit, delete or export it.

The widget only gets a write-only key — it can't read your entries or delete anything.

Nothing connects unless you click. Widgets you don't connect work exactly as before, and entries already saved in a widget are neither moved nor deleted.

Because entries now live in My Data, with usage counted per account, Daily Fan Check-in became free on October 14 (new copies of that widget save check-ins to a data table).

Here's how to connect one: Data source: save widget entries to My Data.

Log without opening WidgetStore: check-in links

Any table can have a check-in link. Keep it on a Notion page or in a phone bookmark, open it, tap Log it, and you're done. By-day tables add to today's entry; by-time tables add a new one.

Check-in links are write-only too, and you can reset one in a click if it leaks. They also accept POST requests, so you can hook them up to iOS Shortcuts and other automations. See Check-in links.

What's free

My Data is free to use. To keep it reliable without raising prices, every account has clear limits:

Limit

Free

Pro

Tables

3

20

Entries in total

15,000

50,000

Writes per day

20

80

Connected widgets

3

20

Daily limits reset the next day, and your data is never deleted because of a limit or because Pro ends — you can always export it. Full details: Free and Pro limits.

Why we're doing this

We want WidgetStore to be more than good-looking Notion widgets: a place where you and your data grow together. So we started with the foundation — your data belongs to you and you can take it anywhere, while widgets are just windows for logging and viewing it. Making that data useful on your dashboard and My Page is where we're heading next.

They all come from the same idea — Notion isn't only for work. Plenty of people use it to keep track of the things they love.

Here's a tour. Everything is in the widget library, and the Quick start shows how to add a widget to Notion.

8 widgets and 2 animated icons:

Bias Birthday Countdown: counts down to the birthday, with confetti on the day.

Stan Days: how many days since you became a fan, with milestone reminders.

Show Countdown: ticket-style countdowns for concerts and fan meetings.

Fave Schedule Calendar: your fave's birthdays, releases and shows on a monthly calendar.

Daily Fave Photocard: a new photocard every day, from photos you upload.

Member Birthdays: every member's birthday and who's next.

Fan Budget: what you've spent this month and what's left.

Daily Fan Check-in: check in every day for streaks and a fan level. Free since October 14, with check-ins saved to your My Data.

Animated icons: Fave-Color Heart Badge and Daily Fan Stamp.

About the example content
Widgets start with a fictional example idol, clearly labeled as an example. We never use real celebrities' photos, names or logos, and we don't pull data from any platform. Schedules, birthdays and spending are all filled in by you, and photos are only the ones you upload.

Anime & Cosplay: a toolkit for watching and making

7 widgets and 2 animated icons:

Anime Watchlist Schedule: what airs when this season, converted to your time zone, with a countdown to the next episode. It can also use Bangumi's daily broadcast list.

Anime Progress Tracker: which episode you're on.

Character Birthdays: countdowns to your favorite characters' birthdays.

Con Countdown: days until the next convention, with venue and booth number.

Cosplay Build Planner: costume, wig, props and makeup progress in one place.

Cosplay Photo Album: a slideshow of your own cosplay photos.

Commission Status: let people know whether you're open for shoots or commissions.

Animated icons: Anime Season and Con Countdown Badge.

As with Fandom, the example titles, characters and conventions are fictional, and no copyrighted characters or artwork are built in.

Are they free?

Everything in these categories is free to create unless it's marked Pro in the library; free accounts can create a limited number of widgets (see Pro benefits). Every widget works in English, Japanese and Chinese.

In Japanese, we're called ウィジェット堂 (Widget-dō), and the Japanese site lives at widgetstore.net/ja/.

This wasn't just a matter of translating the interface. We wanted someone in Japan to go from the home page to a widget, through the editor, a sign-in email and the legal pages, and read natural Japanese the whole way — without a single Chinese character slipping through.

What's included

The site: home, widget library, widget pages, editor, pricing, Dashboard, My Page and My Data are all in Japanese.

Widget content: text inside every widget follows the visitor's browser language, and editor settings are in Japanese too.

Animated icons and covers: most can switch to Japanese, with dates, weekdays, seasons and moon phases shown the Japanese way, in Japan time.

Emails and legal pages: sign-in codes, Terms, Privacy and Refund policies, plus a new page required for selling online in Japan (the Specified Commercial Transactions Act disclosure).

Separate URLs: Japanese pages live under
/ja/
, so shared links open in Japanese and search engines index them on their own.

An automated check scans Japanese pages for anything that looks like Chinese (simplified characters, Chinese punctuation) and runs before every release.

8 new widgets for Japan

Japanese Almanac: the Reiwa era year, rokuyo days and solar terms

Japan Holiday Countdown: days until the next national holiday, with long-weekend alerts — data from the Cabinet Office of Japan.

Japanese Almanac: Reiwa era year, rokuyo days, the old lunar date, the 24 solar terms and holidays, with a monthly calendar at the large size.

Japan Weather (JMA): official Japan Meteorological Agency forecasts for today, tomorrow and the week, for 60 cities.

Japanese Micro-Seasons: a new poetic season name every five days, with seasonal artwork.

Qiita / Zenn / note Card: your profile and latest posts from these Japanese tech and writing platforms.

Trash Day Reminder: set your local collection days and see what goes out today and tomorrow.

Two animated icons: a New Year countdown and a Japanese date stamp.

Local defaults

When you create a widget in Japanese, the defaults fit Japan: world clocks and time differences start with Tokyo, currency conversion starts with USD → JPY, and clocks show Japan time. Widgets you've already set up stay as they are.

Why "ウィジェット堂"

"Dō" is a common ending for Japanese shop names — friendly and easy to remember. ウィジェット堂 simply means "the widget shop". Whatever the name on screen, it's the same WidgetStore, with the same account.

Help us get it right

We write and review the Japanese copy ourselves. If something reads awkwardly, or there's a widget you'd love to see for life in Japan, email us at islaohu@gmail.com.
